MEET CANDACE

Candace Muzny's Childhood Dream,
A true Story of Racing Success!
Dreams Do Come True...

Candace Muzny became the first woman in NASCAR history to make a “Chase for a Candace MuznyChampionship”.   The young woman from Oklahoma City, OK had beaten all the odds and the News, TV, and Radio Media immediately adopted her as their sweetheart.

Candace's heart is  filled with elation, with the past  years  achievements … her dreams are coming true….

Excellence Begins One Step at a Time...

Candace’s personal excellence takes a dream, hard work and determination, as well as the support and encouragement of her family and friends. She could only achieve her dream by developing an individual game plan that she was committed to and by adopting a winning attitude that carried her through to the finish.
Candace's story illustrates that you  can make your dream come true -- whatever that dream may be.

Dream Big --
Excellence Always Begins With a Vision...

Candace's first glimpse of her racing future came when she was only four years old, watching and helping her Mom and Dad at their family Texaco Station.  Candace went with her family each week to the local racetrack and watched as her parents’ racecar circled the oval track. She envisioned then, herself seated behind the wheel of the racecar and the seeds of a dream began to grow in Candace's heart.

Set Achievable Goals Along the Way...

A racing dream may have seemed impossible to many, but not to a spunky, 4-year old girl. Candace knew then that she was steadily working toward her goal of being a racecar driver.

Here’s a quote from a Crew Chief of Jesse James and Candace:  “Candace has come a lot further than most men, because she’s got a true heart of a champion.  I think it’s been harder for Candace because she’s a girl, but she’s proven herself worthy.  She has so much respect from the other drivers and I am proud of her”. Never Lose Sight of Your Dream...
There are always barriers to face as you pursue a dream. The dream itself may provide sufficient motivation for most days, but when times get tough, you need the encouragement and support of other people. Candace is quick to credit the support of others...

My Mom, Vanita, was always there to push me, to encourage me, to train with me. My Dad, Al, provided the opportunity for me to pursue my dream, and my race instructors nurtured my dream and helped me to  believe in myself. My Mom was the unsung hero.  She was always there for me when I came home."

Always Give Your Dream To God...with parents as jj

Candace has never been too busy racing not to spend time thinking about God. She has always felt something drawing her towards God and spiritual things. The night before her first race, she recalled saying this small prayer, "God please do what you want with me today and I will be happy with that."

She now says, "As I look back on my life, I believe that God honored that prayer. I believe that God gave me my dream and drew me to Himself as I accomplished my dream." Candace says. "performance, losses, victories, goals and dreams are all viewed from a very different perceptive when they are first and foremost offered to God." As a result, Candace believes that the success of any performance will be enhanced if we first say to God --

"I will do my best. You do what I cannot do."
